When your schedules don't sync

  • Use phone alarms with vibration, not a shared room alarm. Whoever wakes first leaves the other in peace.
  • Two duvets, one bed. Solves temperature wars and the 'someone is stealing the covers' problem.
  • Wind-down 30 minutes before the earlier bedtime. Whoever's still up should do it in another room.
  • Weekends shifted more than 90 minutes from weekdays gives you social jet lag. Bring the schedules closer on weekends, not further apart.
