Different schedules? Here's the overlap and a compromise that works.
When your schedules don't sync
- Use phone alarms with vibration, not a shared room alarm. Whoever wakes first leaves the other in peace.
- Two duvets, one bed. Solves temperature wars and the 'someone is stealing the covers' problem.
- Wind-down 30 minutes before the earlier bedtime. Whoever's still up should do it in another room.
- Weekends shifted more than 90 minutes from weekdays gives you social jet lag. Bring the schedules closer on weekends, not further apart.
