Sleep Cycle Visualizer

Pick a bedtime, count of cycles, and watch where your night will go.

Falling asleep Light sleep (N1/N2) Deep sleep (N3) REM

How to read this

Each 90-minute cycle starts with light sleep, drops into deep sleep, then rises through more light sleep into REM. Deep sleep dominates the first half of the night — it's when your body repairs. REM stretches longer toward morning — it's when your brain files memories. The cleanest wake-up lands between cycles, in light sleep, which is what this chart aims at.
